Shoreline felt-wind indicator
Beach cards now colour-code the wind speed felt at the shoreline, so strong onshore wind stands out immediately.
A small wind icon appears next to beaches when the felt-at-shore wind reaches caution or avoid levels.
The warning is based on the wind actually reaching the beach, not just open-water gusts.
Updated app icon
Replaced the favicon and PWA icons with a blue sunset icon over a calm sea.
New beach: Lefto
Added Lefto, a quiet pebble cove on the south-east coast with no amenities and difficult access.
More precise map pins
Refined the exact locations of Palaiopoli, Skandeia, Kapsali, Feloti, Limnaria (Gerakari), Kalami, Fanokopia, Ammoutsi, Agia Patrikia, Diakofti and Avlemonas on the map.
Faster keyboard forecast control
The hourly forecast slider now responds to the arrow keys, Home and End.
Page Up and Page Down advance or go back by 3 hours at a time, and the page no longer scrolls while using them.
Clearer coast comparison in the overview
The island overview now always says which side of the island (south, north, east or west) reads calmest, with the runner-up and the roughest side.
The meltemi shelter note is added alongside that comparison instead of replacing it, so both facts appear when relevant.
Finer top-end verdicts
Added a new Smooth verdict for scores of 90–94, sitting between Calm (85–89) and Glassy (95+).
This gives a clearer picture of near-perfect conditions without changing the underlying score.
Sea temperature with more precision
Sea temperature on beach cards now shows one decimal place, making it easier to spot small but useful differences between nearby beaches.
Swell direction and wave period on beach cards
Each beach card now shows which way the swell arrives and whether it hits the shore head-on, at an angle, or is blocked by the coast.
Wave period is shown alongside it, labelled as short chop, mixed or long swell, so you can tell restless water from a gentle roll.
Both new terms are explained in the glossary.
Fresh start on every page load
Opening the guide or refreshing the page now resets the forecast to the current hour and clears filters, so you always see today's conditions first.
Future hours shared via a link are still preserved, so you can send someone a planned trip time.
Clearer wind display on beach cards
Each beach card now shows a compass dial with an arrow pointing the way the wind blows.
Wind speed and Beaufort scale use a neutral tone so the calmness score remains the only colour signal.
Gusts and the wind actually felt at the shore now sit on one compact line, with the onshore/offshore exposure next to the wind.
Glossary updates
Added Sea temperature to the glossary.
Renamed Temperature to Air temperature to avoid ambiguity.
Search, shareable links and sea temperature
Added a search box to find a beach or area instantly.
The selected forecast hour, filters and search are now kept in the link, so you can share the exact view you are looking at.
Sea surface temperature is now shown on every beach card and in the island summary.
Improved Main beaches filter
The 'Main beaches only' filter now has three levels: Off, Medium and High.
Medium hides beaches that are difficult to access or small; High hides all beaches with limitations.
Medium is now the default, so the ranking opens with the main beaches.
New beaches and spelling cleanup
Added Agia Patrikia, Limni (Agia Pelagia) and Ammoutsi to the ranking.
Removed Kyriakoulou from the list.
Standardised spellings: Lagkada is now Lagada, and Amoutsi is now Ammoutsi.

Added this changelog so you can follow how the guide evolves.
Cleaner verdict scale
The top of the scale is now split into three levels: Settled (65–84), Calm (85–94) and Glassy (95+).
This gives a clearer picture of the very best conditions without changing the underlying score.
Beach warnings
Beaches with special conditions now show a warning icon in the ranking and in the Top 3 summary.
Lykodimou is marked as prohibited for safety reasons.
New beaches added
Added Kalamitsi and Neos Kosmos in Agia Pelagia, plus Lygia, Diporos, Fanokopia and Steno Avlaki.
Corrected the position and spelling of Fyri Ammos (Agia Pelagia).
Crowd and access filters
Added 'Avoid crowds' filter that hides beaches expected to be busy during high season.
Added 'Main beaches only' filter that removes beaches with dirt roads, difficult access or very small coves.

You can now scroll through the next three days hour by hour to plan ahead.
Season-aware business levels show when beaches are likely to be busiest.
Score explanation and glossary
Added a page explaining exactly how the 0–100 calmness score is calculated.
Added a glossary defining every weather, morphology and season term used in the ranking.
Map and amenities
Replaced the static map with an interactive OpenStreetMap showing beach locations and calm scores.
